• When do you meet?

  We meet on the last Wednesday of every month from 6-9 PM at LaunchPad Huntington, NY.

• Does it cost to attend an LIJS Meetup?

  Nope. All of our events are free.

• Are your events streamed or recorded?

  Our events are in-person only at this time.

• Do I need to know JavaScript?

  Not necessarily. We strive to make our events as accessible to all skill levels, however, this can depend on the subject matter.

• Can I attend an event if I did not RSVP?

  Of course! While it does help us if you RSVP, this is not a requirement.

• Do I need to bring a computer?

  Nope, but you can if you would like. If you would like to follow along, it is recommended to have Node, NPM, and a text editor installed on your computer.

• Can I bring alcoholic beverages?

  Maybe. Due to insurance regulations, we cannot allow alcoholic beverages at our events without prior approval of LaunchPad Management. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss.

• Can I bring food?

  Absolutely! If you would like to bring enough to share, feel free to let us know in advance so we can let others know. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

• Can I be a presenter at one of your events?

  Probably! We are always looking for presenters, so please get in touch! Presentations could include a software demo, a show and tell, or technology deep dive.

• Can my company sponsor Long Island JavaScript?

  Absolutely! We do not charge for events, so sponsorships help to cover some of our operating costs and to provide food, beverages, and giveaways to our group. Please get in touch and let's chat!
